According to the Hindi Panchang, the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Ashadh month is starting from 03.20 am on Thursday, July 08, which is till 05.16 am on Friday, July 09. As the name suggests, Shivaratri means the night of Lord Shiva. On this day Lord Shiva is worshiped in the night time. This time, the monthly Shivaratri puja is being received on 08 July monthly as Shivratri is on 08 July.

This time you will get total time of 41 minutes for Shivaratri Puja of Ashadh month. Those who will observe Shivratri fast, they will worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati on 08th July between 12:06 pm to 12:47 pm.
Those who keep fast on monthly Shivratri, they will do night awakening after worshiping Shiva and Shakti. Then on the next day, after retiring from the bath, make offerings to a Brahmin. Then complete the fast by doing Parana.
