Vaishakh 2021: Lord Vishnu, Parashurama, and Goddess Ganga are worshiped mainly in this month. Charan Darshan of Shri Banke Bihari Ji happens only once a year in this month. In this month, special importance is given to taking Dips and bathing in River Ganga .The Madhusudan form of Vishnu is worshiped in Vaishakh month along with the worship of Parashurama, the goddess. Therefore, one name of Vaishakh month is also Madhav month. A person who gets up early in the morning, performs auspicious tasks like bathing, charity, chanting, havan etc, gets good fruit of his bearings. Bathing early in the morning during Vaishakh month gives the same fruit as Ashwamedha.

The month of Vaishakh usually starts in April-May. It is called Vaishakh due to its relation with the Visakha nakshatra. Many opportunities for the attainment of wealth and virtue are presented this month. People worship Lord Vishnu, Parashurama, and Goddess this month. Not only that once a year, in this month, Charan Darshan of Shri Banke Bihari Ji takes place. Also, special importance is given to bathing in Ganga water or lake. Also, people tend to start new things during this time.In the month of Vaishakh, bathing the Ganges or the lake is of special importance. The month of Vaishakh starts in April-May. It is also related to the Visakha nakshatra, hence it is called Vaishakh. Mainly this time the month of Vaishakh in 2021 is from 28 April 2021 to 26 May 2021. Ganga is also worshiped on the tenth day of Shukla Paksha in this month.

Food to consume in the month of Vaishakh
During this month, the amount of heat becomes increasingly intense. Therefore, the risk of all types of communicable diseases increases. Use of water should be increased during this month and things containing oil should be eaten to a minimum amount. As far as possible sattu and juicy fruits should be used and sleeping late should be avoided. 

Routine and worship to follow in the month of Vaishakh
Try to get up every morning before sunrise. Take a bath with the Ganges river, lake, or pure water. Add some sesame seeds to the water as well. After this, worship Shri Hari Vishnu. Also, donating water is considered auspicious. Also make sure to follow both Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha, which takes place on the eleventh lunar day of each of the two lunar phases.
