Gola-Makhana Pak: Makhana Pak is prepared in most of the homes on Janmashtami. This is such a dish, in which a lot of dry fruits are mixed and frozen in sugar syrup.


Panjiri: This is the main offering of Kanha. Panjiri or Charanamrit is also said to be very important on Janmashtami. Panjiri is made by roasting flour and adding sweetness to it, then Charanamrit by mixing curd-milk and dry fruits becomes a cool liquid.

Panchamrit: Panchamrit is necessary in the worship of Kanha. Without this, the worship of Janmashtami is considered incomplete. Panchamrit consists of five things Ghee, Milk, Curd, Tulsi leaves, Gangajal and Honey.


Makhan Mishri: Makhan was dearest to Shri Krishna while he was in Gokul. Mother Yashoda used to feed them with sugar candy. Due to which he used to get emotional. As a child, he used to steal them and eat them.
