Solar eclipse & Vat Savitri puja: June-10- 2021- Know the auspicious muharat when married women should worship

Amavasya falls on the last date of Krishna Paksha every month.  Every year on the new moon day of Jyeshtha month, along with celebrating Shani Jayanti, Vat Savitri fast is also observed.  This fast is very special for married women.  On this day married women observe a fast for the longevity of their husbands.  This time Jyeshtha Amavasya is very special because this time the first solar eclipse of the year 2021 will take place on the new moon day on Thursday, June 10, 2021.  This solar eclipse will be Kankanakriti Solar Eclipse.  Sutaks are taken 12 hours before the eclipse and worshiping is prohibited.  However, a partial solar eclipse can be seen in very few places in India.  This is the reason that the Sutak period will not be valid in India, but still there is apprehension in the minds of women regarding the worship of Vat Savitra fast.  So let us know from when will the solar eclipse last and which will be the right time for the worship of Vat Savitri fast.

 How long will the solar eclipse last
The solar eclipse will start from 01:42 pm on Thursday, 10th June 2021, which will end at 06:41 pm.  In this way, the total duration of the solar eclipse will be about five hours.  Let us tell you that this will be a partial solar eclipse, so the Sutak period will not be valid.  Due to this all work can be done.  Women can also worship without any doubt, but along with the auspicious time to worship on this day, there are some Muhurtas in which worshiping will not be right.  So know the Muhurta here.

Importance of Vat Savitri Vrat

Vat Savitri fast is kept by married women for the attainment of unbroken good fortune.  On this day, women worship Vat Vriksha (Banyan tree) and Savitri-Satyavan after making adornment.  After the puja, the story of Savitri Satyavan is read and women pray to Goddess Savitri to bestow her with the blessings of Akhand Saubhagyavati.
