Maa Chandravali temple: Mother Rahdha’s friend Chanda awaits Lord Krishna, know the story

The days of Navratri has started.  Today is the fourth day of Navratri.  Today's day is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda.  In Navratri, 9 days of Mother Goddess are seen and worshipped in different forms.  It has been told in the scriptures that the goddess created the universe  with her  smile.  Let us know about such a temple in Vrindavan on this holy day, where Shri Radha Rani's Sakhi Chanda is worshiped along with Shri Krishna.  Radha Rani had thousands of friends, out of which some friends were very dear to Radha Rani.  Mother Chandravali is among those friends.  This temple is located in the Mahavan area of Mathura, on the way across the Yamuna, and is known as the temple of Mother Chandravali Devi.  It is believed that this is a 5000 year old very ancient temple of Maa Chandravali.  According to mythology, the information about the story of this temple comes from Dwapar Yuga.  People from all over the country keep visiting to see this temple.  It is believed that no devotee could get this temple built, because the mother never allows that temple to be built.  Chandra was the most beloved of Radha Rani's friends , Who always used to tell Shri Krishna that I too will go with you to Gokul.  Then Lord Krishna brought Radha Rani and her friends to meet his father Nandrai .  After walking some distance, Chanda got tired near Gokul and asked Lord Krishna to stop.

Sitting under the banyan tree, the mother gives darshan to the devotees. 
 According to mythology, when Maa Chandravali  was resting under the tree after some time she started looking for Shri Krishna.  Because Shri Krishna had said that if you are tired, then rest here, I will call my father Nandrai here to meet you.  The people there tell that even today Mother Chandravali waits for Shri Krishna.  At present, there is a very beautiful temple of Maa Chandravali here.  The construction of this temple has been done in very ancient times.  That temple is famous by the name of  Maa Chandravali.  It is also believed that even today the mother waits for Lord Krishna and sits under the banyan tree and gives darshan to the devotees.

 Fair is held every Monday here , people from everywhere comes to visit .
 Many devotees of the maa tried to get this temple built but could not get it.  It is said that when one tries to build it, there is some obstacle in that work and that temple is not able to be built.  Along with this, lakhs of devotees come to visit this temple and a special and grand fair is also organized in Navratras.  A fair is held every Monday in the temple of Maa Chandravali and thousands of devotees visit on that day.  It is believed that by worshiping the mother on every Monday, one gets freedom from all sins.  No person goes back empty handed from this court, Maa Chandravali fulfills all the wishes of her devotees.
