Know about vat Savitri vrat 2021: its significace, shubh mahurat, puja vidhi.

 Vat Savitri fast has utmost significance in Hinduism, during this day, married women keep for their husband's long life. It is believed that Savitri revived her husband Satyavan by sitting under a banyan tree. As per the Hindu calendar, Vat Savitri Vrat falls every year on the new moon day of Jyeshtha month. This year it is falling on 10th June 2021, Thursday. The special thing is that on the day of Vat Savitri fast, Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Rahu will be seated in Taurus.

As per astrology, Venus is considered for good luck and happy married life. On this day, the formation of Chaturgrahi Yoga in Taurus is considered very special. This Yoga is formed when four planets are in one sign. It is believed that this yoga brings sweetness to married life and gets rid of all the sufferings.

Vat Savitri : Puja vidhi-
 On this day seven types of grains are kept in a bamboo basket that is covered with pieces of cloth. The idol of Goddess Savitri should is placed in another bamboo basket. Women offer Kumkum, Akshat by offering water to the banyan tree. Then they tie the auspicious thread on the banyan tree and take seven rounds of it. After that, they offer a prasad made of gram jaggery & distribute it, listen to the story.

Vat Savitri Vrat will be observed on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Amavasya Tithi will start from 1:57 pm on 09th June and will end on 10th June at 04:20 pm. The fast will be broken on June 11.

 One should arrange these samagrahi for the puja Bena (fan) made of bamboo wood, akshat, turmeric, incense sticks, red-yellow colored kalava, sixteen adornments, water in a copper vessel, vermilion for worship and red-colored clothes, five Kinds of fruits, banyan trees, and dishes, etc.

Significance of banyan tree
as per the Puranas Vat Vriksha i.e. Banyan tree is considered auspicious & significant. It is believed that this tree is sacred & lord Brahma, Vishnu, and shiva reside in it. The woman who is married worship this tree on Vat Savitri for the husband's long life.

As per the legend, on the day of Vat Savitri, Savitri took back the life of her husband Satyavan from Yamraj. satyavan got his life back by worshiping there, that is why the banyan tree is worshiped on this day.
