Rules for establishing Ganpati.

On the day of Chaturthi, after bathing and wearing clean clothes, go to take Ganpati Bappa with the people. While buying the idol of Ganapati, keep in mind that the idol should be made of clay, not plaster or other chemicals. Apart from this, it is considered auspicious to take the idol of Ganesha sitting. Their trunk should be bent to the left and the mouse must be their vehicle along with it. After taking the idols, cover them with a cloth and bring them home with pomp with drums.

At the time of installation of the idol, remove the cloth from the idol and put Akshat on it before entering the idol in the house. Establish the idol by laying a post in the east or northeast direction. At the time of installation, spread a red or green cloth on the post and install the idol of Lord Ganesha on top of Akshat. Sprinkle Gangajal on the idol of Lord Ganesha and wear a janeu to Ganpati. Establish an urn by placing Akshat on the left side of the idol. Make a swastika sign on the Kalash and tie Kalawa on mango leaves and coconut and place it on the Kalash. After this, start the worship with the law.

Sitting on a clean seat, first of all, bathe Ganpati with Panchamrit. After this, offer saffron, sandalwood, akshat, durva, flowers, dakshina, and their favorite food. As long as Ganpati stays in the house, during that time recite the story of Ganesh Chaturthi, Ganesh Purana, Ganesh Chalisa, Ganesh Stuti, Shri Ganesh Sahasranamavali, Ganesh Ji's aarti, Sankatnashan Ganesh Stotra, etc. Chant the mantra of Ganapati according to your reverence and do his aarti daily in the morning and evening. It is believed that by doing this, Ganpati removes all the obstacles of the family.
