
Skandamatais worshipped on the 5th day of Chaitra Navratri. Skandamata is the mother of Lord Kartikeya (who's also known as Skanda), and worshipping her with rituals brings her blessings. On this day, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, and wear white-coloured attire, as it is the symbol of purity and peace, and wearing white colours helps bring inner peace and purity.
After that, clean the temple, sprinkle Gangajal and install an idol or picture of the Skandamata. Light a diya with ghee in front of the Goddess and offer vermillion (Sindoor), akshat, and flowers.
Offering cardamom, cloves, betel nut, betel leaves, and red coloured flowers is considered extremely auspicious.
Offering Bananas as Bhog to the Goddess is considered auspicious, as it symbolises prosperity and power.
During the worship, recite the Durga Chalisa or the Durga Saptashati. Then complete the rituals by performing Aarti and distributing Prasad.
