Observing a fast on this day is believed to free one from sins and problems in life. The Mangal Pradosh Vrat is considered favourable for those who are suffering from the negative influence of Mars (Mangal).

Mangal Pradosh Vrat

When this fast falls on Tuesday, it is known as Mangal Pradosh Vrat, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Mangal Pradosh Vrat is also known as Bhauma Pradosh Vrat. On this auspicious day, worshipping Lord Shiva and Goddess Lakshmi brings courage, inner strength, and fearlessness. This fast also helps one cure physical illness and overcome financial obstacles.
Lord Shiva showers his blessings on the devotees. By observing this fast, devotees are protected from the problems and obstacles caused by the influence of Mars, and they experience peace, stability, and prosperity in life.


Date and Auspicious Timings

According to the panchang, the trayodashi tithi will begin on 27th April at 06:51 PM and end on 29th April at 07:51 PM. Therefore, the fast will be observed on 28th April 2026. Pradosh vrat puja muhrat will start from  06:54 PM to 09:04 PM with a duration of 02 Hours 10 minutes.
