The nine days of Navratri are dedicated to different forms of Maa Durga. Many people keep fast during Navratri to please Goddess Durga. During Navratri, Goddess Durga is worshiped with full rituals. During this, many people also light the Akhand Jyoti. It is believed that lighting a monolithic lamp brings happiness and prosperity in the house.During this some rules should be followed.

Navratri is a very holy festival celebrated. During the entire Navratri, a person should remain completely clean from both mind and body. In this, the monolithic lamp should be touched with clean hands. Whatever may be the fast, celibacy should be followed for nine days. Eat only sattvik food during this time. You can use a fireplace made of lattice or glass so that the lamp does not go out. Before sleeping at night, sleep only after putting ghee and oil in the lamp. It should not be changed frequently. Because extinguishing the eternal flame is not considered auspicious.
