The fast of Ahoi Ashtami is specially celebrated and on this day mothers keep a Nirjala fast to protect their children.  Ahoi Ashtami is observed on the fourth day of Karva Chauth or eight days before Diwali.  Ahoi Ashtami Vrat is observed every year on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month and Karva Chauth Vrat on Chaturthi.

According to the Ahoi Ashtami 2022 date calendar, the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month is starting from 09.29 am on Monday, October 17.  This date is valid till 11.57 AM on Tuesday, October 18.  The importance of seeing the constellations and offering water is special on Ahoi Ashtami.  Moon has special importance in this fast. On this day moon is worshipped, stars and moon are specially worshiped.  In Ashtami Tithi it will be on 17th October, so Ahoi Ashtami fast will be kept on 17th October.

The auspicious time for the worship of Ahoi Ashtami Vrat is starting from 05:50 in the evening on October 17, which will continue till 07:05 in the evening.  In such a situation, it is advisable to arrange the worship material first.  In the worship of Ahoi Ashtami, the fast is broken by looking at the stars in the evening.  In many places, mothers cross the moon only after offering water.

The festival of Ahoi Ashtami will be completed in Shiva and Siddha Yoga.  Shiva and Siddha Yoga is formed on the day of Ahoi Ashtami.

The festival of Ahoi Ashtami will be completed in Shiva and Siddha Yog.  Shiva and Siddha Yog are formed on the day of Ahoi Ashtami.  Shiva Yog is from morning to 4:02 pm.  After this Siddha Yog will start.  In Siddha Yoga, the full fruit of worship and fasting is obtained.  Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga is also formed on the day of Ahoi Ashtami.  It is from 05.13 am to 06.23 am on October 18.
