The Gadkalika Devi Temple in Ujjain is an ancient Shaktipeeth, believed to date back to the Mahabharata period. It is also considered the abode of the great poet Kalidasa's revered goddess.
According to legend, the Goddess is said to have appeared to the great poet Kalidasa in this temple. Historically, Emperor Harshvardhan renovated this temple in the 7th century. Subsequently, the Maharajas of Gwalior State also renovated it. Located on the Kali Ghat on the banks of the Shipra River, this temple is renowned for Tantric practices and esoteric rituals. Worship of Goddess Gadkalika is considered particularly fruitful for attaining knowledge and wisdom.
Our Services:
- The puja will be performed in the temple premises on the day of Durgashtami of Navratri with your name and gotra along with chanting of mantras by Yugantarit Pandit ji.
