Maha Rudrabhishek
- The month of Sawan is dearest to Lord Shiva, and worshipping him during this month. Lord Shiva is worshipped with several rituals in which Maha Rudrabhishek is considered to be a very sacred and powerful Vedic ritual. In this ritual, the jalabhishek is performed with water, milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugarcane juice, Panchamrit, Belpatra, Dhatura, hemp, sandalwood and sacred flowers along with the chanting of Rudra Sukta, Shri Rudram, Chamakam and other Shiva mantras by the Vedic Brahmins.
