The sacred month of Sawan is dedicated to Lord Shiva, when Devadhidev Mahadev himself showers special blessings on his devotees. Performing Rudri Paath in this holy month and Mahabhishek on four Prahar nights is considered an extremely effective way to get the blessings of Shiva quickly.
Rudri Path
- In the Rudri Path, both the raudra and karuna forms of Lord Shiva are worshipped. Reciting this is considered extremely fruitful for the alleviation of negative powers, planetary obstacles, and all the troubles of life. It is believed to remove planetary affliction in one's birth chart and protects one from sudden death, disease, and fear. This brings happiness, peace, and stability in life, along with special blessings of Shiva.
Char Prahar Night Mahabhishek
- According to Hindu calendar calculations, day and night are divided into 4-4 Prahars, and worshipping Lord Shiva is considered favourable in the night. On every Monday during the Sawan month, Myjyotish is organising 4 Prahar Night Puja and Rudri Path at Gabhastishwar Mahadev Temple, Kashi, where you can participate in the puja sitting at home.
“The Rudri Path and Four Prahar Night Mahabhishek performed on the sacred night of Sawan Somvar at the ancient Gabhastishwar Mahadev Temple in Kashi is regarded as a rare and highly powerful Shiva ritual. It is believed to pacify planetary obstacles and open the path to happiness, prosperity, good health, and the divine grace of Lord Shiva in one’s life.”
