Baidyanath Jyotirlinga is also known as Kamna Linga, which means that every wish of the devotees who come here is fulfilled. Shiva is the most beneficent and destructive of all the gods. The scriptures say that when there was nothing there was Shiva and after the destruction Shiva will remain. Shiva is the origin of the universe. With the establishment of Shivling, Shiva paved the way for the creation of Shivling and the development of the world.

When a fight broke out between gods and demons during the Samudra Manthan, Shiva consumed poison to free the gods from problems. Such a noble deed could not have been done by any other deity. By doing this work, Shiva is considered more respected than Brahma and Vishnu.

- Puja will be done by Pandit Ji with chanting of mantras in the courtyard of the temple. Devotees can get Puja done on any Monday of Sawan as per their convenience.
