Purnima Shraddh

• Pitru Paksha is considered to begin from Bhadrapada Shukla Purnima. On this day, Shraddh and Tarpan are performed for those ancestors who died on the Purnima. Bhadrapada Shukla Purnima is also known as Purnima Shraddh, and on this occasion water, sesame, kush, pind, food, and donations are offered, remembering the ancestors.

Pitru Shanti and Tarpan Ritual
 

• On Purnima Shraddh, the Pitra Shanti and Tarpan ritual is being organized by Myjyotish at the famous ghat of Haridwar. In this special and ritualistic method, a pledge is taken with your name and Gotra, and then tarpan of ancestors, pind daan, Ganga pujan, food and charity, and deep daan ritual will be done. Special Vedic mantras will be chanted for the ancestors along with tarpan of Kush, black sesame seeds, and pure water. Besides, a special resolution will also be taken to wish for the happiness, peace, prosperity, health, and well-being of the family.
