Significance of worshipping on Nag Panchami

• Nag Panchami falls on the panchami tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Shravan month, and this festival is considered extremely auspicious for the worship of Lord Shiva and the Nag Devta. Naagraj whish is around the neck of Lord Shiva, symbolises power, protection, and divine energy. Worshipping with devotion and rituals on this day is believed to remove obstacles from a person's life, protect from negative energy, and bring the special blessings of Lord Shiva.

Nag Panchami Puja

• Myjyotish is organising Shiva Puja and Abhishek at Shri Nageshwar Mahadev Temple at Kashi. On this occasion, the rituals will be performed with Vedic rituals by taking a sankalp of your name and gotra. You can participate sitting at home and receive the blessings of Lord Shiva and Nag Devta. 

What is included in Nag Panchami Puja?

• In Nag Panchami Puja, Panchamrit Abhishek of Nageshwar Mahadev will be done, in which the formal Abhishek will be done with Gangajal, milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar. After this, Belpatra, Dhatura, Bhang, flowers, and Akshat will be offered to Lord Shiva. During the puja, recitation of Rudrashtadhyayi, chanting of Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, and collective chanting of Shiva Panchakshari Mantra "Om Namah Shivay" will be done.
