Maha Bharani Shraddh Special Ritual
- On the occasion of Bharani Nakshatra in Pitru Paksha, a special ritual of Maha Bharani Shraddha is being organized by Myjyotish on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar Dham. According to the scriptures, the lord of Bharani Nakshatra is Yamraj. So, when Bharani Nakshatra falls on Chaturthi/Panchami Tithi during Pitru Paksha, it is known as Maha Bharani Shraddh. The Shraddhand Tarpan performed on this day is considered as fruitful as the Shraddh performed at Gaya.
