The night of Phalguna Purnima symbolises the victory of good over evil. According to scriptures, Holika, Prahlad's aunt, received a boon from Lord Brahma that she would never be harmed by fire. On the night of Phalguna Purnima, she sat in the fire with Prahlad. While Prahlad emerged unharmed, Holika was reduced to ashes. This story illustrates that no matter how powerful evil may seem, it cannot prevail against good.
