Description

  • Why is Guru Worship Important?

The Guru (Jupiter) is considered a symbol of knowledge and wealth. In scriptures, the Guru is referred to as Devguru, meaning the teacher of the gods. It is regarded as the most auspicious planet in astrology. The Guru represents knowledge, wealth, respect, fame, a virtuous life, a good family, worthy children, and spiritual growth. A weak Guru may cause various issues in an individual's life.

  • What Happens When the Guru is Weak?

When the Guru is weak in someone's horoscope, it can lead to health problems, including liver issues, a lack of knowledge, financial difficulties, the absence of good mentors, lack of guidance from elders, and diminished respect. Women, in particular, may experience unhappiness in their marriages. Without the wisdom of the Guru, individuals may find themselves in a state of confusion and darkness in life.

  • Guru Grah Shanti Puja

Performing the Guru Shanti Puja, conducted with proper rituals at a reputable temple, can help eliminate the challenges caused by a weak Guru. The planet Guru, representing knowledge and wisdom, brings positivity and a positive influence to one's life. Those facing difficulties due to a weak Guru may find relief and improvement in their circumstances through this puja.

The Place of Penance for the Nine Planets

According to the Skanda Purana, the nine planets also came to this sacred site, established Shivalingas, performed penance, and received blessings from Lord Shiva. The names of the lingas they established are: Naraditya, Someshwar, Mangaleshwar, Budheshwar, Brihaspatieshwar, Shukreshwar, Sthavareshwar, Muneshwar, and Rahu-Ketueshwar. The place where the Kshipra, Kshata, and Gupta Saraswati rivers meet is called the Triveni Sangam. This place is considered a place that bestows salvation. Bathing, donating, and visiting Sthavareshwar Mahadev here destroys all sins and alleviates the suffering caused by Saturn. This is why the site became famous as the Navgraha Triveni Shani Temple.
It was at the Triveni Sangam in Ujjain that King Vikramaditya consecrated Lord Shanidev and the nine planets and built a magnificent temple. Even today, this place remains a center of faith and peace for devotees. Here, along with Shani Dev, Shri Ganesh ji is seated on the right, Dhaiya Shani on the left and Shri Balaji Hanuman is seated behind.
