Navratri is a grand festival dedicated to the worship of Shakti. During these nine sacred days, the nine forms of Goddess Durga are honoured. According to mythology, as Mahishasura's sin grew, Goddess Durga fought for nine days, ultimately killing him and establishing Dharm. This grand festival of Navratri celebrates victory over evil.
Devotees who worship with discipline and devotion during Navratri receive special blessings from Goddess Durga. In light of this, MyJyotish is organising Khetri, Kalash Sthapana, and Anusthan during Chaitra Navratri.
Khetri, Kalash Sthapana, and Anusthan during Chaitra Navratri
- On the first day of Chaitra Navratri, the Kalash Sthapana and sowing of Khetri (Jau) will be performed, taking a pledge in your name. The Kalash symbolises Goddess Durga's power and prosperity. Following its installation, rituals will be carried out for all nine days.
- Sowing Khetri /Jau (barley) is considered a sign of auspiciousness and prosperity. As these jau sprouts grow, they are seen as symbols of happiness, peace, and prosperity in the home.
