On every Ekadashi, plucking Tulsi leaves and watering it is not considered auspicious. It is said that Tuli is the dearest devotee of Lord Krishna and is also known as the form of Goddess Lakshmi. Tulsi also observed a nirjala fast for Lord Vishnu on this day.
