The people of Ayodhya welcomed him by lighting ghee diyas. Since then, Diwali is celebrated every year as the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Worshiping Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on this day brings wealth, happiness, prosperity, and blessings.
